About Uni-Hydro

For three generations the Dvorak family has been designing, patenting and producing ironworkers for the world.

In 1949, Joe Dvorak invented the first hydraulic ironworker called “The Dvorak Ironworker” which was a scissors type machine.

Joe’s son Jim Dvorak invented the Uni-Hydro Ironworker in 1974 with his own major patents which is a guillotine type machine. Jim Dvorak has 7 United States Patents and 30 plus foreign patents directly related to the metal shearing industry. Jim’s son Chuck Dvorak continued the family tradition by receiving his first ironworker patent in the early 1990’s.
